Cardi B has confirmed she will drop her second studio album later this year.

The Bodak Yellow rapper unveiled her debut album, Invasion of Privacy, back in April 2018.

After fielding questions from fans about when they can expect new music for the past seven years, Cardi announced on Monday that her sophomore project, Am I the Drama?, will be released on 19 September.

"Marking a bold evolution in her sound and storytelling, the project arrives after her record-breaking debut album Invasion of Privacy - not just aiming to top it but showing how far she's come and how much more she has to say," a press release reads.

Limited-edition merchandise, including a vinyl and CD version, is now available to pre-order from her website.

Taking to Instagram, Cardi - real name Belcalis Almánzar - also shared the cover art for the album.

In the image, she is depicted wearing a red dress with a sculptural neckline while two crows fly near her.

"Counting the days!!!" exclaimed Shakira, while Taraji P. Henson declared, "LET'S F**KIN GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLOOOOOOOO (sic)."

Am I the Drama? includes 2020 hit WAP featuring Megan Thee Stallion, 2021 track Up, and new single Outside.

Over the weekend, Cardi teased a big announcement by sharing a video in which she poses in a black dress adorned with fake crows.

"Seven years and the time has come. Seven years of love, life, and loss. Seven years I gave them grace, but now, I give them hell," the 32-year-old narrates over the footage. "I learned power is not given, it's taken. I'm shedding feathers and no more tears. I'm not back, I'm beyond. I'm not your villain, I'm your karma. The time is here. The time is now."
