21 June 2025
Global pop superstar Dua Lipa kicked off the first of her two sold-out shows at London's iconic Wembley Stadium last night (June 20th), igniting the UK leg of her highly anticipated Radical Optimism Tour. Playing to a rapturous crowd of 75,000 fans, the 3x GRAMMY and 7x BRIT Award winner delivered a stunning performance packed with hits, surprises, and show-stopping fashion.
Following a successful run of sold-out dates across Europe, Asia, Australia, and New Zealand, Dua's 23-song setlist opened with the energetic "Training Season." She seamlessly transitioned through fan favorites like "Break My Heart" and "One Kiss" before delving into deeper cuts. A rare and much-anticipated moment saw Dua perform the cult-favorite "Hotter Than Hell" for the first time in nearly six years. Introducing the track, she shared, "This is the song that got me signed, and it’s the song that started everything. With weather like this, there’s only one song I could do."
The night continued with an illustrious string rendition of "Maria," electric performances of "Physical" and "Illusion," and a high-energy finale featuring chart-toppers "Don't Start Now" and "Houdini."
A true highlight of the homecoming show was a surprise appearance by Jamiroquai. Keeping with her tour's tradition of bespoke covers unique to each city, Dua welcomed the legendary artist to the stage for an unforgettable duet of his iconic hit, "Virtual Insanity."
Dua's stage presence was matched by a striking array of brand-new custom looks, styled by Lorenzo Posocco. She commanded the stage in a silver Swarovski bodysuit, a white lace Valentino catsuit, a glittery Courreges ensemble, and a sheer blue Balenciaga slip dress with a faux fur coat revealing the UK flag. The encore saw her in a custom black Chanel bodysuit, paying homage to a 1992 couture original.
Dua Lipa returns to Wembley tonight for her second sold-out performance before continuing the UK leg in Liverpool and Dublin, then heading to North America. Her latest album, Radical Optimism, has already topped charts in 12 countries, marking a significant success in her illustrious career.
