Get ready to level up your listening experience! GRAMMY-nominated producer and global electronic music phenomenon Alesso has unleashed his official remix of "Ascension," the powerful lead track from the original music suite for the Esports World Cup 2025. This high-octane rework, available to listen here and with a visualiser here, perfectly merges Alesso’s signature euphoric sound with the competitive energy of the world’s biggest esports and gaming event.

Originally composed by Edouard Brenneisen of Hollywood Scoring and recorded at the legendary Abbey Road Studios, "Ascension" features fellow GRAMMY nominee and virtuoso cellist Tina Guo. Alesso's remix reimagines the orchestral original, seamlessly blending his progressive house style with Guo’s powerful tone. The result is a high-energy track designed to capture the intensity and emotion of elite esports competition, transforming the cinematic piece into a pulsing anthem.

The remix is a key part of the EWC Music initiative, a groundbreaking program creating a unique musical identity for the Esports World Cup. Launched in April with a four-track suite, the initiative continues to build excitement with live performances, artist collaborations, and global fan activations. "Ascension (Alesso Remix)" will be featured prominently across tournament broadcasts, live events, and digital content throughout the seven-week competition, which kicks off in Riyadh on July 7. The anticipation is further heightened by the announcement that 9x diamond-certified artist Post Malone will headline the Opening Ceremony on July 10.

Alesso expressed his enthusiasm for the project, stating, "I’m a huge fan of esports and gaming tournaments – I’m a gamer myself, so combining my two worlds into one on this remix felt so natural." Tina Guo echoed this sentiment, adding, "This collaboration brings together my passion for music and gaming in a progressive house and cinematic fusion."

Ariel Horn, Executive Producer at the Esports World Cup Foundation, highlighted the synergy: "Gaming and EDM have moved together for years... With Alesso and Tina Guo, we’re building another bridge." This collaboration underscores the EWC's ambition to redefine the role of music in connecting players, fans, and culture.

The Esports World Cup 2025 will gather 2,000 elite players and 200 Clubs from over 100 countries, competing in 25 tournaments across 24 games for a record-breaking $70+ million prize pool. Tickets, including access to the Opening Ceremony, are now available at esportsworldcup.com.
