Day one of the Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity kicked off in France on Monday with a star-studded soirée and a special performance by Charlie Puth.

While onstage, the singer-songwriter teased exciting news about his forthcoming album.

"I'm currently finishing my fourth record off of FaceTime right now," he said. "I can't wait for all of you to hear it. A lot of piano. A lot of piano."

The crooner, who has had several tunes hit one billion streams on Spotify, then serenaded the crowd with his biggest hits, including We Don't Talk Anymore and See You Again.

Puth also used the occasion to divulge that he is heading into new territory. During an interview, the Grammy-nominated, multi-platinum singer-songwriter revealed his plans for a Broadway musical.

"That's something we're starting to work on," said Puth of the developing project. "The Broadway world is very exciting. It's really different. It's a lot less instant gratification because it's a longer process than making an album," he noted. "I just like doing things I haven't done before."

The starry group of guests at the event included NBA player Kyle Kuzma and his fiancée, supermodel Winnie Harlow, Summer House stars Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula, The Traitors alum Dylan Efron, and comedian Bowen Yang.
