Celebrated electronic alt-pop pioneers Metronomy are set to commemorate two decades of groundbreaking music with the release of their first comprehensive collections: 'Greatest Hits' and 'BBC Sessions.' Both albums will arrive on September 5th, via Because Music, offering fans an extensive look back at the band's influential career. Pre-orders for both releases are available now.

'Greatest Hits' will feature 20 of Metronomy's most beloved songs, spanning their seven studio albums and showcasing their unique ability to consistently redefine the electronic pop landscape. Alongside this, the 'BBC Sessions' compilation will present 17 previously unreleased live recordings, captured between 2009 and 2019 for BBC Radio 6Music, Radio 1, and Radio 2. To mark the announcement, two tracks from the 'BBC Sessions' – 'The Look' and 'On Dancefloors' – have been released today, offering a taste of these rare live gems.

Formed in 1999 by musician and producer Joseph Mount, Metronomy has cultivated a legacy as one of the UK's most impactful electronic acts. Their distinctive sound effortlessly bridges the gap between experimental electronic music and accessible pop, complemented by their innovative production techniques, striking visual aesthetics, and famously energetic live shows.

This special collection highlights the full breadth of Metronomy's output, from the early charm of tracks like 'You Could Easily Have Me' to the sophisticated pop of 'The Look' and the dance-floor magic of 'Love Letters.' It’s a testament to the band’s magnetic energy and distinctive sound that has captivated audiences for two decades.

'Greatest Hits' will be available in various formats, including a standard 2xLP Edition, a colored special 2xLP Edition, and a 2xCD Edition. The 'BBC Sessions' will be included on the 2xCD Edition and will also see a separate stand-alone 2xLP release. The album artwork for 'Greatest Hits' visually represents the band's journey, cleverly incorporating elements from their entire catalogue of logos and designs.
