Travis Kelce celebrated the fact that Taylor Swift has "finally" bought back her music catalogue.
During Wednesday's episode of his New Heights podcast with his brother Jason Kelce, American football star Travis praised his girlfriend Taylor's latest achievement.
The episode featured guest Shaquille O'Neal, who played Taylor's 2012 hit I Knew You Were Trouble from his phone, prompting the hosts to dance along.
"That's my favourite song in the world, brother, I love it," Shaq said, prompting applause from Travis and Jason.
Travis then acknowledged that the Lavender Haze hitmaker had recently regained the rights to her first six albums, a major milestone coming six years after her catalogue was sold to record executive Scooter Braun.
"Shout out to Tay Tay. Just got that song back, too," Travis said. "Just bought all her music back so it's finally hers, man, I appreciate that, dog. Love you, big Diesel."
Last week, Taylor shared a handwritten letter on her official website, announcing that she had reacquired ownership of the albums.
"Hi. I'm trying to gather my thoughts into something coherent, but right now my mind is just a slideshow," the singer wrote. "A flashback sequence of all the times I daydreamed about, wished for, and pined away for a chance to get to tell you this news."
She also revealed that she had recently re-recorded her 2006 self-titled debut album and part of her 2017 release Reputation.
"Those 2 albums can still have their moments to re-emerge when the time is right, if that would be something you guys would be excited about," the Bad Blood singer penned. "But if it happens, it won't be from a place of sadness and longing for what I wish I could have. It will just be a celebration now."
