John Legend joined on stage by Estelle for surprise performance of ‘American Boy’

Multi-platinum, 13-time Grammy Award-winner John Legend was joined on stage by UK singer/songwriter Estelle on Friday. The pair, who have worked together since 2004, performed Estelle’s 2008 hit ‘American Boy’ to a crowd of cheers at the Utilita Arena in Birmingham, the third show of John’s Get Lifted 20th Anniversary World Tour.

The Get Lifted 20th Anniversary World Tour is bringing John’s acclaimed 2005 debut album back to the stage. The tour continues tonight at Amsterdam’s Ziggo Dome after Legend completed its UK leg last night at London’s O2 Arena. Earlier this year, John marked the milestone with the release of Get Lifted (20th Anniversary), a digital deluxe and 3LP vinyl editions featuring special guests including Tems, Killer Mike & Lil Wayne, Simi, and Black Thought.
