The 2025 BET Awards nominees are led by Kendrick Lamar.
The nominations for the 25th annual BET Awards, which celebrate Black excellence in music, television, film and sports, were announced on Thursday, with the Not Like Us rapper dominating with 10 nods.
Lamar has been nominated for Album of the Year for GNX, Best Male Hip Hop Artist, as well as three nominations each in the Viewers' Choice (for Not Like Us, Luther with SZA and Like That with Future & Metro Boomin) and Best Collaboration (for Luther, Like That and 30 For 30 with SZA) categories.
His final two nominations are for Video of the Year for Not Like Us and Video Director of the Year with Dave Free.
The rapper has had a strong 2025 awards season, picking up five Grammys in February, including Record of the Year and Song of the Year for Not Like Us. He is also the leading nominee for the 2025 American Music Awards with 10 nods.
Lamar is followed by Doechii, Drake, Future and GloRilla with six BET Award nominations each, while Metro Boomin has five and SZA and The Weeknd have four.
The winners will be announced on 9 June at a ceremony at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles, California. Actor and comedian Kevin Hart will host this year's edition of the annual event.
