Hip-hop heavyweights Kendrick Lamar and SZA officially launched their highly anticipated Grand National Tour last night with a massive, sold-out show at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, MN.

Presented by Live Nation, pgLang, and Top Dawg Entertainment, the opening night marked the reunion of two of the genre’s most influential voices — and they delivered a performance that more than lived up to the hype.

Fans were first treated to a high-energy DJ set from Mustard, who warmed up the crowd with a string of hits before the main event. Kendrick and SZA then took the stage together, igniting a nearly three-hour journey through their respective discographies. Their setlist was stacked with crowd favorites from albums including GNX, SOS Deluxe: LANA, DAMN., Ctrl, and Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers.

Standout moments included show-stopping performances of “tv off,” “peekaboo,” “Kill Bill,” “Snooze,” and the explosive “All the Stars.” The highlight of the night? Their joint performance of “luther,” the chart-topping anthem that has quickly become a defining track of the year.

With stage design and visuals curated under the pgLang creative umbrella, the show was as much a visual feast as it was a sonic celebration — blending storytelling, art, and activism in a way only Kendrick and SZA can deliver.

The Grand National Tour will hit 39 cities across North America, including stops in Houston, Los Angeles, New York, Toronto, and Atlanta, before heading to Europe and the UK this summer. It's already being hailed as one of the must-see tours of the year.
