As revealed yesterday on BBC Radio 2's The Scott Mills Breakfast Show, Remember Monday will be representing the United Kingdom at the 69th Eurovision Song Contest in Basel, Switzerland in May 2025 with their song, What The Hell Just Happened?. They spoke to Scott in their first exclusive interview!

Speaking to Scott, Remember Monday (Lauren, Holly, Charlotte) said:

Remember Monday: Honestly, we feel like we're on another planet, nothing's sinking in, to be honest I think it's just sunk in then, the lead up... You said 'the global stage' and I was like, 'wait, what!'

Lauren: We met at sixth form college a few years ago and, essentially, we always had free periods on a Monday which is when we just used to get together and sing and then that turned into us singing every single day of the week and not going to our classes and our teacher used to come and find us in random spare classrooms and knock on the door and be like, 'Girls are you coming into class today?' and we were like, 'No Jenny, we're just going to stay in here, sorry!' So we did that for years and years and it kind of became a little in joke that it was always happening on a Monday so that's where Remember Monday was born and, yeah, about a year and a bit ago, we packed in the day job and went full time and it's going OK! [laughs]. Here we are.

On hearing the song played live for the first time, they said: That is crazy, we'll cry later!

Scott then got Jenny - their Performing Arts teacher from school - on the phone.

Scott: They used to skip your class all the time?

Jenny: Well yeah, but I used to let them get away with it 'cause they were that good... Congratulations girls I'm so thrilled for you. The song is amazing.

Remember Monday: You're the reason we're here together. We talk about you every single day, honestly, we genuinely do.

Jenny: Oh bless you. Girls, you have something that can't be taught. I'm just glad that I was there at the beginning when you were 16, 17 and you were individually so talented so to put you guys together, just we're gonna win. I'm feeling we're going to win Eurovision this year.... They're the hardest workers, they've worked so hard and so long for this, they thoroughly deserve it and you will not get better live vocalists than these three, they're amazing... It was the easiest two years of teaching of my entire life. I didn't have to do a thing, they were incredible, but it was the hard work though, they didn't expect anything. They put the hours in, I used to chuck them out at 6 o'clock when we had to lock up the department. They didn't want to go because they were rehearsing. It's that special combination of, you can't teach that kind of talent, they're amazing together, but they've grafted and they've worked so incredibly hard and I'm just so thrilled that they've stuck together all these years and that it is going to pay off now and they're going to be heard by the masses which is what they deserve. But natural talent, just incredible voices, incredible ears and just wonderful, lovely girls.

Remember Monday: Jennyyyyyy, we love you!

Rylan left a message saying: Tell them I can't wait for a night out with the girls!
