Sam Asghari has shared his thoughts on Britney Spears' knife dancing video.
Last year, the pop princess caused a stir when she posted a video of herself dancing with two large knives on Instagram.
The video came shortly after Spears and Asghari finalised their divorce in May 2024 after seven years together.
Speaking on Wednesday's episode of The Viall Files podcast, Asghari explained that his ex-wife should be free to post whatever content she wants.
"I'm not someone that's 'Let me, let me take your phone from you and not allow you to do anything and restrict you from posting your own content,'" he said. "And, and especially if you're an artist, I think, you know, we're talking about she's a genius artist."
The model and fitness trainer went on to say of Spears, "What's in her head is gold, and it's what made her who she is."
Asghari went on to stress the importance of being able to "express yourself".
"So when you take away the ability to, you know, make art express yourself, I'm not gonna be the one that's gonna stop anybody from posting whatever they want," he stated. "Especially if dance is the way you express yourself."
Elsewhere in the interview, Asghari reflected on the difficulties of his relationship with the Circus hitmaker, who was under a conservatorship from 2008 to 2021.
"This is a seven-year-long relationship, and it's the longest I've been in a relationship with somebody, and it's the longest she's ever been in a relationship with somebody," he shared. "But, you know, we had to deal with - she was under the conservatorship, and that was very strange for me to deal with. I got hit with that at the beginning."
The couple first met in 2016 and tied the knot six years later in June 2022. Asghari filed for divorce in August 2023, citing irreconcilable differences.
