GRAMMY award winning superstar Alicia Keys last night received the Dr. Dre Global Impact Award and clinched win for Best Musical Theater Album (Hell’s Kitchen) at the 2025 GRAMMY Awards.

The Dr. Dre Global Impact Award was established in 2023 to recognize artists whose influence extends far beyond music. Named after legendary producer, entrepreneur and philanthropist Dr. Dre, the award celebrates not only musical excellence but also entrepreneurial achievements, philanthropic efforts and a profound impact on a global scale.

During her speech for the Dr. Dre Global Impact Award, Alicia celebrated trailblazing female producers and the power of diversity.

“This is not the time to shut down the diversity of voices,” said Keys. “We’ve seen on this stage talented, hard-working people from different backgrounds with different points of view and it changes the game. DEI is not a threat, it’s a gift.” Watch the full speech here.

The musical Hell’s Kitchen, which Alicia worked diligently on the creation of the original stage musical for 13 years, last night won the GRAMMY AWARD for Best Musical Theater Album. Alicia Keys wrote the music and lyrics for Hell’s Kitchen, which features new music written for it and hit songs from Keys’ catalogue. The album, was produced by Alicia Keys along with Adam Blackstone and Tom Kitt.
