Kaiser Chiefs look set to ramp-up their support for a campaign to stop the expansion of Stansted Airport.

The rock band have previously spoken publicly against plans to increase the size and traffic at the London site.

According to reports, the group, led by drummer Nick Hodgson, have agreed to contribute to a charity album intend to highlight the cause.

The campaign is being fronted by Stop Stansted Expansion Group, who oppose proposals for a new runway, increasing passenger numbers by ten million.

Hodgson had previously announced The Chiefs' objections to the expansion at the Brit Awards in 2006.
