Paris Hilton and Meghan Trainor have collaborated on a new single titled Chasin'.

The pair announced the track on Tuesday and confirmed it will be released on 26 July. Meghan revealed she had been working on the song for some time and was thrilled to team up with Paris.

"I began writing the track years ago and knew I had to save it for someone very special," she told Rolling Stone. "Paris brought it to a whole new level. I can't believe I get to be friends with her.

"She is the sister I always needed and when she calls me sis, I die of happiness inside."

Meghan described the single as "truly iconic" and revealed that working with Paris was a "bucket list dream come true".

Chasin' has been co-produced by Sia and will feature on Paris' upcoming album Infinite Icon.

Paris is sure fans will love the track and shared that the lyrics had a deep meaning for her.

"Meghan put into words an experience that was so true for me;" she explained. "That time in your life when you find the confidence, power, and self-love, to walk away from toxic relationships and move forward with your life."

Infinite Icon, which was executive produced by Sia, will be released on 6 September.
