Dua Lipa has revealed why she gives away so little personal information about herself on podcast.

On her podcast, Dua Lipa: At Your Service, the New Rules hitmaker has interviews with celebrities including Sir Elton John, Greta Gerwig, Charli XCX and Billie Eilish.

During an interview with The Guardian, the reporter asked Dua if she was aware of how little she divulges about herself during those conversations.

"Oh, 1,000%," she replied, before explaining, "I guess I just wear different hats, and when I'm in my podcast world, and especially when I'm interviewing different artists, I'm there for them and for their story."

The journalist cited Dua's interview with Charli XCX and noted that she wasn't as candid as her guest and often avoided answering certain questions, such as when the Boom Clap singer asked if she had any songs she hated performing.

"Well, that's really interesting because I don't have a song that I hate playing," she stated. However, she then confessed she wrote a song she now dislikes - but she would never reveal which one publicly.

"I don't want to say because I write with other people. It could be a song that someone's really proud of. I'm not going to go and s**t on that," Dua shared.

The 28-year-old added it was Charli's "prerogative" to be so "open" in the interview, whereas she was "a bit more of an overthinker".

The last episode of At Your Service aired in November 2023.
