Alex James will present an edition of "Panorama" next week, detailing the Colombian cocaine trade, according to reports.

The Blur bass player hosts the BBC's flagship, hard-hitting news series on Monday, investigating the country's biggest export.

James, who famously enjoyed a champagne and cocaine lifestyle during the Britpop heyday, was apparently invited to the country by President Alvaro Uribe.

In the show, he will be seen meeting the region's key figures in the drugs war, including farmers, sellers and enforcers.

Last year, James released "Bit Of A Blur", an autobiography which detailed the hedonistic history of the star, who is now more well known for making cheese.
