Lizzo has revealed the "dark cloud" is finally clearing after she battled depression.

The About Damn Time singer has shared an emotional post via Instagram, in which she detailed her mental health struggles in the past year.

Lizzo said she was in a better place following months of stress, but admitted she still had some way to go.

"I'm the happiest I've been in 10 months," the star said. "The strange thing about depression is you don't know you're in it until you're out of it. I'm definitely not all the way as carefree as I used to be.. But the dark cloud that followed me every day is finally clearing up."

In August 2023 Lizzo was sued by three of her former backup dancers for sexual harassment and racial discrimination. She was also accused of creating a hostile work environment and weight shaming.

Lizzo petitioned to have the "ridiculous" lawsuit dismissed in its entirety and denied each of the allegations.

Some of the claims were dismissed, however, the sexual harassment claim was moved forward to trial.

The 36-year-old star sparked fear amongst her fans in March this year when she announced she was tired of all the "lies" and revealed she had "quit" in an emotional Instagram post.

Lizzo later clarified her comments and promised her followers she wasn't giving up her music career, rather she had grown frustrated with the negative comments.
