John Legend has explained exactly how Chrissy Teigen hurt her neck.

The 45-year-old Grammy award-winning singer has been married to 38-year-old model Chrissy since 2013 and they share four children together.

But it seems Chrissy thinks she is still a child herself as she got injured while trying to copy her eldest daughter Luna Simone, eight, who was demonstrating her acrobat skills.

John explained to Entertainment Tonight, "She hurt her neck trying to be, like, an acrobat - that she's not. Sometimes she's daring and she'll try things."

The Voice coach added, "I think she may have been watching Luna too much... (Luna has) been doing like real gymnastics. But (Chrissy) got in her head that she could try this and it was not a good idea."

Chrissy sparked alarm last week when she took to social media wearing a neck brace and joked an injury had prevented her from attending the 2024 Met Gala.

She laughed on Instagram at the time, "I was never going to the Met this year. Please. I'm so stupid for having made this a thing."

Now John has cleared up the mystery over exactly how his wife became injured.

The couple are also parents to five-year-old son Miles Theodore, daughter Esti Maxine, aged 16 months, and a 10-month-old son, born via surrogate, named Wren Alexander.
