Joining Angellica Bell, James and Matt on the Hits Radio Breakfast Show this morning was Britain’s Got Talent judge Alesha Dixon. With the show back on our television screens this Saturday, the team tried to get her to spill the beans on what we can expect from this latest series...

Alesha said: ‘More Golden Buzzers than ever! Since Bruno joined the rules have gone out of the window. I think there might be eight or nine this series! In fact, this year Bruno broke the Golden Buzzer on day one of filming...’

‘My golden buzzer act floored me this year. I often sit there and, you know, nobody wants to ugly cry on television, but I did have one of those moments because I just couldn't hold back. I always think if you've got that opportunity to give someone that special moment and so they can spread the message of what they're doing on a bigger scale that feels like a really great reason to give someone a golden buzzer. So I'm really excited for you to see that.’

On the Britain’s Got Talent act that covered The Boy Does Nothing: ‘You know, we had somebody perform on Britain's got Talent this year that did their own version and I hated it. No golden buzzers, because they did it in, like, a heavy metal, really aggressive. And I was like, no, make it stop.’

Alesha on reforming Mis-teeq: ‘It's sort of like flavour of the month at the moment and we've thought about it in the past, but honestly, I think sometimes you have to leave things where they are. We love the fact that people ask for it, but we've been nervous of it in the past. But I do get enjoyment seeing other acts come back together. Whether it's Damage or Sugababes. I always say never say never. But in true honesty, it's not a priority for us right now.

On her iconic laugh: ‘My children have started to mock my laugh now. If I laugh they imitate me!’
