Saddle up! Beyoncé is currently outselling the rest of the Official Albums Chart Top 5, as COWBOY CARTER tracks for Number 1.

The superstar’s eighth studio album, COWBOY CARTER looks set to become Beyoncé’s fifth solo record to reach the summit, predicted to join Dangerously In Love (2003), 4 (2011), Lemonade (2016) and RENAISSANCE (2022) in her tally of UK chart-toppers.

As a member of Destiny’s Child, alongside Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, Beyoncé boasts another Number 1 LP; 2001’s Survivor.

Oxford rock outfit Ride could celebrate a career-best this week, with Interplay expecting a Number 2 debut. The seventh studio collection from Andy Bell, Mark Gardener, Steve Queralt and Loz Colbert looks to become their highest-charting record across a career spanning 36 years. Interplay could out-peak Ride’s 1992 LP Going Blank Again and 1994’s Carnival Of Light, both of which reached Number 5.

Heaven :x: Hell, the eighth and final studio album from Canadian rockers Sum 41, is on course to become their highest-charting record in 23 years this week (10). The group – Deryck Whibley, Dave Baksh, Jason McCaslin, Tom Thacker and Frank Zummo – last saw Top 10 success with 2001 debut All Killer, No Filler (7).

SELF HELL, the sixth studio collection from Sheffield-formed metalcore group While She Sleeps, could earn the band their fifth UK Top 40 LP this week (18). Previously, While She Sleeps enjoyed Top 40 success with 2012’s This Is The Six (27), 2015 release Brainwashed (29), 2017’s You Are We (8) and 2019 album SO WHAT? (21).

BTS member j-hope (born Jung Ho-seok) eyes his first-ever solo Top 40 album in the UK with HOPE ON THE STREET VOL.1 this week (20). Featuring collaborations with the likes of BTS bandmate Jung Kook (i wonder…) and benny blanco and Nile Rodgers (lock / unlock), the record follows j-hope’s 2022 debut Jack In The Box (67).

And finally, Sheryl Crow looks to claim her 11th Top 40 record with 12th studio release Evolution (30). The Missouri-born singer-songwriter last saw Top 40 success with 2019 LP Threads (10).
