American Swifties were left stunned by one Australian concert rule.

Fans of the Welcome to New York singer took to social media to express their astonishment over the fact her Australian concert-goers are permitted to bring their personal items in an opaque bag.

"Any other americans doing a double take at all the eras tour outfits in melbourne and sydney?" TikToker Molly Halter queried in the caption to a video.

"I'm watching all of these outfits for the Eras Tour in Australia and I'm like, 'Why don't they have to wear clear bags?'" she went on to say, in the video itself.

"Because they don't have gun problems."

The observation sparked a wider conversation about different levels of gun control.

"Every. Single. Time. I see an international show clip I just think “not a single one of them worried about being shot in the crowd today.”" one of Molly's commenters wrote.

Another wrote: "The way this statement just hit me. Damn. Other parts of the world don’t have to live like this."

While an Australian commenter explained what fans Down Under experience instead.

"In Aus you’re usually just not allowed to take water if it’s been opened, to make sure you haven’t filled it with alcohol. That’s pretty much it".
