Selena Gomez has opened up about her romance with Benny Blanco.
The singer/actress shared rare details about her relationship with the record producer in a new interview with Apple Music's Zane Lowe.
During the interview, Selena, 31, explained what is important to her when it comes to relationships.
"Without getting into too much detail, I think it's just really important to meet someone that respects you," the singer said. "And I think it's really nice to also lean on someone who understands the world that I live in."
Selena added, "But I'd have to say overall it's the safest that I feel and it's been really lovely and I've only grown through it, so it's awesome."
In early December, the Single Soon hitmaker revealed on Instagram that she had been quietly dating Benny, real name Benjamin Levin, for six months.
"He has treated me better than any human being on this planet," Selena wrote in an Instagram comment at the time. "He's still better than anyone I've ever been with. Facts."
During her interview with Zane, Selena also spoke about her new single, Love On.
"The idea is that I was inspired a lot by living in Paris, that for two months I had to work there and I loved just the quality of life and how romantic it felt," she said of the inspiration behind the new track. "And then to kind of feel really happy in my life and actually mean it is so, it's just like you can tell in my video, I'm just smiling the whole time. It's such a good feeling."
