Sabrina Carpenter loved Sydney but felt 'ugly' when she visited the famous Bondi shoreline.

The singer, in Australia as the support act for Taylor Swift's global tour, had raved about what a good time she was having 'down under'.

"I'm not trying to gas you guys up, because I'm sure everyone always says Australia is the best, but it truly is just one of my favourite cities I've ever been to," Sabrina, 24, told local radio station 2Day FM.

"I love everywhere in Australia, but Sydney is just particularly so special."

Asked what things she found specifically appealing, Sabrina went on to list out a number of items.

"The food's amazing, everyone's attractive, everyone's really nice," she gushed.

"And the shows so far... The crowds have been really, really splendid. So I don't know you guys, I haven't found a red flag yet."

But when show host Erin Molan replied, "If you want to feel ugly, go to Bondi," Sabrina confessed she already had – and she did.

"I was there yesterday and I couldn't agree with you more," the singer laughed.

"I've never felt uglier!"

Sabrina will be opening Taylor's Sydney concerts this weekend.
