Alicia Keys has revealed the secret to her strong marriage with Swizz Beatz.

The hitmaker has explained that communication is the key to her successful relationship with her record producer husband.

"I spent a lot of relationships not really saying how I actually felt, and they fell apart," the 43-year-old told People in an interview published on Thursday. "If you can't speak your truth, then you can't be yourself. That's a key! I don't worry about speaking to him, even about the hard things, and I think he feels the same. I know that I can tell him what I really feel."

Alicia and Swizz, real name Kasseem Dean, tied the knot in 2010. They have two children together, Egypt, 13, and Genesis, nine.

"My husband - every second, it's noise. But that's him, and I love it," the Girl on Fire hitmaker shared. "He is the best DJ in the universe, and we walk down the street, and it's a party. It's amazing."

"We have a lot fun. We laugh a lot," she added. "He's really silly, I'm really silly."

Alicia's comments come days after Swizz, 45, came to her defence after she was criticised for her performance with Usher during the 2024 Super Bowl halftime show last weekend.

"Tonight's performance was nothing but amazing with 2 amazing Giants ! Congrats @usher and my love @aliciakeys that song is a classic," he wrote on Instagram on Monday. "We don't do negative vibes on this side we make history."

Alicia made a guest appearance during Usher's Super Bowl halftime show performance. The R&B singers performed their 2004 hit My Boo.
