Taylor Swift was forced to perform on her tiptoes after the heel of her boot broke during her concert in Rio de Janeiro on Monday.

Fan footage posted on social media revealed that the Blank Space singer suffered a wardrobe malfunction at the start of her Eras Tour concert at the Estádio Olímpico Nilton Santos in Brazil.

One video showed the 33-year-old ripping the heel off her bejewelled Christian Louboutin knee-high boot and throwing it into the crowd.

Ever the professional, Taylor ploughed on with the opening segment of the show and greeted concertgoers in Portuguese without commenting on the issue.

She performed the entire Lover portion of the show balancing on the ball of her foot before making a costume change for the Fearless segment.

"Taylor Swift IS the real life barbie," one user wrote on X/Twitter, referring to the moment in the Barbie movie where Margot Robbie's Barbie steps out of her heels and continues to walk with arched feet.

Another added, "She stands on tiptoe, with a broken heel, like a real-life Barbie."

After the show, one fan posted a picture revealing they had Taylor's broken heel in their bag.

The Shake It Off singer was widely expected to attend her boyfriend Travis Kelce's football game on Monday, however, she performed in Brazil that night to make up for postponing a show on Saturday due to the extreme heat.

She was left "devastated" on Friday after Ana Clara Benevides Machado, 23, died of a cardiac arrest at the hospital after fainting at her concert due to the heatwave.

The Eras Tour continues in São Paulo, Brazil on Friday.
