Blake Shelton has revealed he doesn’t miss The Voice.
The country star spent 23 seasons as a coach on the popular U.S. singing reality show before he finally quit in October 2022.
During an appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show on Friday, Blake admitted it was too soon to feel any negative emotions about leaving the series.
“Not yet,” he replied when asked if he missed his role on the panel. “I mean, I did that for 23 seasons."
Blake - who is married to The Voice coach Gwen Stefani - explained he had planned to quit the show some time ago, but the Covid-19 pandemic delayed his departure.
"I didn’t want to walk out on the show in the middle of Covid and them trying to scramble and figure out what to do,” the 47-year-old singer said. "So, I stayed. I didn’t have anything to do anyway, so I stayed a little bit longer.”
“I stayed too long for me to now miss it, I can promise you that,” he added.
Blake also revealed he requested an item from set to remember his time on the show – the iconic chair he sat on as a coach.
“I wanted my red chair… so they sent it to Oklahoma,” he laughed.
