Sheryl Crow gushed over "super cool" Olivia Rodrigo ahead of their Rock & Roll Hall of Fame performance.
Ahead of their joint performance during the 61-year-old's induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Sheryl was full of praise for the 20-year-old hitmaker.
"She's the real deal. She's precious," Sheryl said of the Vampire singer during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Thursday night. "She's a great songwriter."
The My Favorite Mistake singer added, "She seems kinda unaffected by all of it, you know? When I was 19 - her age - I was like, 'How do you fill out this application for college?!'"
Elsewhere in the interview, the nine-time Grammy Award winner explained how her collaboration with Olivia, whom she dubbed "super cool", came about.
"(Olivia) asked me to do this thing when she came to Nashville. So I texted her and said, 'Hey, would you do the Rock Hall with me?' And she's like, 'I would love to, I would be so honored,'" she told the talk show host.
Sheryl is set to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame on Friday. The ceremony will be broadcast live from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
The duo last performed together in September at the iconic Bluebird Café in Nashville, Tennessee. They performed one of Sheryl's best-known hits, If It Makes You Happy.
