Billie Eilish thought she would become "invincible" by confronting her past issues but she was wrong.

During an interview with Allure, the 21-year-old singer-songwriter got candid about healing from previous pains.

"I do this thing where it seems like it's good to find out all the things that are going to hurt you the most," she explained, "because when you know all of it, then you can have a sense of control about it. And once you know, you can heal from that. Then I'm invincible!"

The Ocean Eyes hitmaker continued, "But what I've learned... is that time goes by, and I'm still scarred. You don't have to push into pain to get out of pain. I've done that, and I don't want to do it again."

In a 2019 interview with Rolling Stone, Billie revealed that she became depressed and "went through a whole self-harming phase" after she sustained a dance injury when she was 13.

"The gist of it was, I felt like I deserved to be in pain," she candidly shared at the time. "It's funny. When anyone else thinks about Billie Eilish at 14, they think of all the good things that happened. But all I can think of is how miserable I was. How completely distraught and confused. Thirteen to 16 was pretty rough."
