Adele has admitted she is "very jealous" she didn't attend the first date on Madonna's world tour.
During her Weekends with Adele show in Las Vegas on Saturday night, the Rolling in the Deep hitmaker paid tribute to the iconic pop singer, who kicked off her Celebration Tour in London on the same day.
"Do you know Madonna did the opening of her tour tonight in London? Do we have any Madonna fans here tonight?" Adele, 35, asked the audience, prompting a loud applause.
"I love Madonna and I'm very, very excited," the performer continued, adding that she is glad the Material Girl singer is well after being hospitalised earlier this year with a serious bacterial infection.
Madonna remained in intensive care for several days as a result of the infection, forcing her to delay her world tour, which was originally set to begin in the U.S. in July.
"I'm very jealous I wasn't at the London show, but I'll see her whenever she stops by in L.A. Very, very excited," Adele gushed.
The Queen of Pop kicked off her 78-date tour, in which she performs her biggest hits from the last four decades, at the O2 Arena. The opening show included many of her most iconic outfits, music videos and a set design, featuring a layered wedding cake, that mimicked her career-making 1984 MTV VMAs performance.
Madonna, 65, is scheduled to perform in countries across Europe before travelling to North America.
Meanwhile, Adele's Las Vegas residency, which began on 18 November 2022, will wrap up on 4 November.
