Nelly and Ashanti have gone Instagram official as a couple.
The Just A Dream rapper took to Instagram on Friday with a birthday tribute for his girlfriend Ashanti, making their relationship official on the platform.
"One time for the birthday girl," Nelly captioned a series of photos featuring himself and the Rain On Me artist. "Such a beautiful, an incredible person inside and out and one of the hardest working women. I know.. @ashanti Enjoy your day Ma you look awesome!!!! Happy Birthday Love ya (sic)!"
Ashanti commented, "Awwwwww Thanku Big head... love ya (sic)!"
She also wrote her own post reflecting on turning 43.
"This year has been absolutely insanely incredible, and amazing. Which is partially why I'm posting a day late because I had to work last night lol," Ashanti shared on Saturday. "I am truly grateful for so much. Nothing is better than having peace in all aspects of your life."
She continued, "It is a true blessing. The world is a scary place right now... so I'm grateful to be able to create my own... and escape from it all. Thank you all again for the outpouring of love it truly means everything to me."
Nelly and Ashanti rekindled their romance earlier this year after dating on and off from 2003 to 2013. Nelly's Instagram post marked the first time that either of them acknowledged their newfound relationship on social media.
"We cool again," he previously confirmed in an interview in September. "I think it surprised both of us though. It wasn't anything that I don't think was planned."
