RAYE, cassö and D-Block Europe’s Prada has usurped Kenya Grace’s Strangers at Number 1, but with less than 400 chart units between the two songs, they’re set for a photo finish end to this chart race on Friday.

But it would also be foolish to discount ascendant Canadian pop upstart Tate McRae, whose viral smash greedy (3) is also less than 1,300 chart units behind, and who could blow the whole race wide open as the week continues.

Tyla’s Water is on track to surge to its highest position yet (4), as could Chase & Status, Bou, Flowdan, IRAH, Trigga & Takura on Baddadan (5) and Sonny Fodera, MK and Clementine Douglas on Asking (6).

Indie-rock could be well on its way to a chart resurgence! This week’s highest new entry is looking to go to indie-pop trio boygenius (aka Phoebe Bridgers, Julien Baker and Lucy Dacus), who are well on the way to secure their first-ever Top 10 on Black Hole (8), while Mitski’s My Love Mine All Mine is predicted to enter the Top 10 for the first time (10).

Billy Gillies & Hannah Boleyn’s breakthrough chart entry DNA (Loving You) is also on the up (12), while Fred again..’s latest team-up with jozzy could net a Top 20 debut (15).

Bring Me The Horizon’s Darkside is also on track to debut inside the Top 20, at Number 17. It would be the second overall Top 20 single for the band.
