Muse and Arctic Monkeys up for Q Awards tonight

The Q Awards will be taking place in London later, with rock music's finest all up for major honours.

Muse, Arctic Monkeys and the Kaiser Chiefs are nominated for three awards each at the event, where winners are chosen by the magazine's readers.

Double nominations go to Arcade Fire and Manic Street Preachers, who'll both be battling it out for Best Album.

Other artists in the category include the Arctic Monkeys, Amy Winehouse and the Kaiser Chiefs.

But the top prize, Best Act In The World Today, will be a closely fought bout between The Killers, Arctic Monkeys, Foo Fighters, Muse and U2.

Last year, Oasis were the proud winners of the prestigious prize.
