Super Furry Animals return with the first single from their forthcoming new album 'Hey Venus!', due for release later in August.
'Show Your Hand' is classic SFA. A dose of soul, a pinch of furry experimentalism and a huge dollop of sublime Pop mixed into one summer classic.
As one of the best live bands this island has ever spawned it seemed fitting that they should be hitting the road for a series of both small club and festival headlining shows over the summer months.
So we have the return of Super Furry Animals, we have secret shows, we have summer sounds, and on top of that we have some of the most exciting artwork to ever wrap itself around a compact disc. The band especially commissioned artwork by cult Japanese artist Keiichi Tanaami, under a shroud of technology and indirect communication we have been delivered a visual treat worthy of complimenting the sweet audio.
The first SFA release on the highly respected Rough Trade, 'Show Your Hand' and 'Hey Venus!' look set to reinforce just how relevant and important this band is today.
