Guilfest may have its roots in 'dad rock' (Paul Weller, Status Quo, Simple Minds, The Stranglers have all headlined recently), but the emphasis is firmly on fun - for all the family. With a capacity of 24,000 and immaculate facilities and organisation make the weekend feel more like a holiday than a festival. Kicking off on Friday 13th July the three day festival is set in Guildford's Stoke Park.
In addition to the mainstream pop/rock lineup on the main stage, there are tents catering for dance, heavy rock/metal, new bands, and comedy. Headliners this year are Supergrass, Squeeze and Madness. Aside from these you can catch the likes of Ghosts, Newton Faulkner, Tiny Dancers, Cherryghost, and Duke Special.
