Police uncovered an enormous fake ticket scam at the Isle Of Wight Festival this weekend, it has been revealed.

One in five were apparently frauds, which prompted organisers to ramp-up security across the three-day gathering.

Police investigations have led to the arrest of three people at the site, after hundreds of people were found to be carrying illegal tickets.

According to reports, one festivalgoer paid £320 for their pass only to be barred entry to the festival, which was headlined by The Rolling Stones.

Sherrell Davenport, 29, from Ryde on the Isle of Wight is scheduled to appear before magistrates on 19 June, charged with fraud.

Two other unnamed suspects have been released on bail pending further enquiries.
