Every week, Music News and Liberty Music look at the best new releases from emerging and self-releasing artists.
Natalie Carr – ‘Scraped Knees’
Having already gained an enormous amount of praise and support for her previous effort, US singer and songwriter Natalie Carr returns with the pulsing new single ‘Scraped Knees’. Produced by John McCall ‘J-Mac’ and Dillion Lawter, her latest release is a smooth and atmospheric slice of alt-pop gold that breathes effervescent energy.
Miles Pascall – ‘Faith Over Fear’
With huge support already landing from the likes of BBC and Q Magazine for his recent material, fast-rising London-based artist Miles Pascall looks to shine once again as he delivers the mesmerising ‘Faith Over Fear’. Coupling his warm and uplifting voice with a smooth and humbled piano-led production, he certainly knows how to inject genuine passion into his work here.
Julia Powell – ‘Sugar’
Having only just dropped her incredibly well-received debut album ‘Blueprints’ earlier this year, Florida-based singer, songwriter and producer Julia Powell is back on the grind with her woozy new single ‘Sugar’. Channelling more of that broad and captivating alt-pop aesthetic she is known for, her newest gem sees her grow out of her shell and deliver a brooding new work in the vein of Fiona Apple.
Robbie Nova – ‘Rodeo’
Having previously opened up for the likes of Akon, Soulja Boy and Beenie Man over the years, the ever-impressive Robbie Nova is looking to grow into his guise once again on the romantically-charged effort ‘Rodeo’. Taking his cues from the 90s RnB direction and bringing his own contemporary direction to it, this release is a bold and shimmering return to form.
Lainey Dionne – ‘I Love You To Death’
Despite coming from the United States’ smallest state Rhode Island, progressive artist Lainey Dionne has been quick to land on further shores recently and now continues that upward trend on her latest jam ‘I Love You To Death’. Adopting that same vibrant and bouncing dark-pop sound she is known for, her newest release is a strong and uplifting move in a positive direction.
