The Hills star Brody Jenner has poked fun at the fuss surrounding a photo of his ex kissing Miley Cyrus, joking he and the pop singer's estranged husband are romancing.
Entertainment Tonight obtained images of Kaitlynn Carter and Cyrus making out at a hotel in Lake Como, Italy and published them just before news broke that the Wrecking Ball star and Liam Hemsworth, her husband of seven months, had split.
Jenner, who split from Carter earlier this month (Aug19), took to Instagram on Sunday and appeared to advise his followers not to read too much into Kaitlynn's kiss.
"Don't let yesterday take up too much of today," he wrote, prompting his The Hills co-star Brandon Thomas Lee, to comment: "Let's round this scandal out and post a pic of us making out."
Jenner then quipped: "Watch out! Pics of Liam (Hemsworth) and I holding hands on the beach coming soon."
Brody previously left a flirty comment on a bikini snap of his ex on Friday, calling Carter "Hot girl summer" before deleting the comment.
He and Kaitlynn began dating in 2013, and The Hills star popped the question in 2016. They wed in Bali in June last year (18), but it was reported they were never legally married.
"Brody Jenner and Kaitlynn Carter have decided to amicably separate," the former couple's reps confirmed in a statement. "They love and respect one another, and know that this is the best decision for their relationship moving forward."
