Rapper Nipsey Hussle died from gunshot wounds to the head and torso, according to a coroner's report.

The 33 year old musician was gunned down outside his Marathon Clothing Store in Crenshaw, Los Angeles on Sunday afternoon (31Mar19). He was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.

Two other people were injured in the shooting incident but survived, according to a Los Angeles Police Department spokesman.

The Los Angeles County Department Medical Examiner has ruled his death a homicide.

LAPD detectives have yet to arrest anyone in connection to the shooting and they have no suspects, but the top cops are reviewing surveillance footage in the hope of identifying the gunman.

Meanwhile, fans have set up a memorial spot for the rap star - full of photographs, letters, candles and flowers - outside his store, and his famous friends and collaborators like The Game, Snoop Dogg, John Legend, and Drake have been posting tributes on social media.

Fellow rapper Kendrick Lamar paid tribute at a concert in Argentina, calling Nipsey Hussle "our brother, warrior, soldier", and Umbrella singer Rihanna tweeted: "My spirit is shaken by this! Dear God may His spirit Rest In Peace and May You grant divine comfort to all his loved ones! I’m so sorry this happened to you @nipseyhussle."

Ice Cube has also paid his respects on Twitter, writing: "Sad, mad and disappointed about my guy @NipseyHussle." And the Mayor of Los Angeles, Eric Garcetti, said Hussle’s death was an "awful tragedy".
