Kanye West served as creative director at the inaugural Phub Awards on Thursday night (07Sep18).
According to editors at The Blast, Kanye and his creative house DONDA collaborated with top production designer Willo Perron and his agency, WP&A, to curate and serve as creative director for the porn portal's first-ever awards show.
The Yeezy designer put his creative stamp all over the futuristic themed show, which was set in the year 6918, mixing "future with fantasy", providing the wardrobe and styling for all the presenters from his Adidas-backed fashion line.
While some of the performers wore gowns from his collection, others went topless or donned see-through dresses.
Kanye also took charge of the winners trophies, with recipients handed a phallic statuette personally designed by the rapper.
“Kanye has designed a bespoke erotica-inspired award statue for each of tonight’s unique categories," an official release from the awards stated. "In line with the futurist theme, the award statues represent imagined alien sex toys."
The 41-year-old father of three also performed at the show, debuting song I Love It, a collaboration with Lil Pump, which was accompanied by a music video directed by frequent collaborator, film director Spike Jonze.
Young M.A., Blackbear, Dana Dentata and Teyana Taylor also performed at the show.
Kanye’s surprise involvement comes after he admitted being a huge fan of the website during an appearance last month on Jimmy Kimmel Live!
When the talk show host asked Kanye if having daughters had changed his attitude toward women, he replied: “Nah, I still look at Pornhub and stuff.”
The website later granted him a lifetime of free premium membership.
On Friday, a selection of merchandise was launched on the star’s Yeezy Supply website, celebrating winners of the awards on sweatshirts featuring racy slogans and graphic drawings of Riley Reid, 'most popular female performer'; Mia Malkova, ‘hottest female a*s’; Abella Danger ‘splash zone top squirting performer’; Kendra Sunderland, winner of ‘nicest t*ts’; and Lena Paul, the ‘top big t*ts performer’.
The PHub Awards was live streamed on its website and Kanye’s wegotlove.com.
