Kevin Federline reportedly wants to re-examine his child support arrangement with ex-wife Britney Spears following her recent success.

According to The Blast, Federline, who shares two sons Sean, 12, and Jayden, 11, with the Toxic singer, sent a letter via his attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan on Thursday (22Feb18), which asked for the discussion surrounding how much he gets from Spears in child support each month to be revisited.

The website reports that Spears currently gives her ex, to whom she was married between 2004 and 2007, a cheque for $20,000 (£14,309) each month, which was based on a percentage of her income at the time the deal was arranged. However, now that Spears has enjoyed huge success in recent years, including her Las Vegas residency which saw her take home $475,000 (£339,836) per show and make a staggering $15 million (£10.7 million) per year, Federline is requesting more in child support.

"Kevin feels that he has been very supportive of his ex-wife over the years - during the lows and during the highs with the resurgence of her career - and has always made it a priority to accommodate her schedule, even travelling to shows so she could see the kids," a source told the outlet.

The letter didn't indicate how much more Federline is looking for, but indicated he is looking for a large increase, The Blast added. He is also said to be hoping to arrange a new deal with Spears over private discussions, rather than hashing everything out in public.

Spears has yet to respond to Federline's letter.
