GuilFest kicks off and scores with the Lightning Seeds, Embrace, A-Ha, Billy Idol, The Wonder Stuff, Gary Numan, The Stranglers, plus special guest Donovan, Sandi Thom, Nizlopi, Hayseed Dixie, Blue Oyster Cult, The Waterboys, SikTh, INME and Therapy; just to mention a few of the amazing bands we have on our BBC Radio 2 Mainstage and the Ents24 and Rocksound Stages! The bands are not all that GuilFest has to offer. There is the FunkyEnd Dance Tent where you can check out the seriously cool DJ Snowboy, the hip and ‘havin it' DJ Phil Hartnoll, and the amazing one and only Norman Jay DJ extraordinaire and other well known DJ's. The FunkyEnd also provides a home to a diverse selection of cutting edge dance music from up and coming DJ's.

GuilFest 2006 is to feature a Silent Disco' for the first time. A Silent Disco?! The Silent Disco will make enough noise to wake the dead but not the neighbours! Other late night activities include The Jelly Tree Video Lounge where you can chill-out and watch an eclectic selection of video art, short films and animation, and a late night sing along to all your favourite songs in the all new ACM Acoustic Lounge.

GuilFest is delighted that the Academy of Contemporary Music is to continue its commitment new talent and is to host the all new Acoustic Lounge where up and coming singer songwriters can get up and dazzle audiences with their compositions.

So raise your glasses and drink at toast to music, fun, and friendship at GuilFest 2006.
