This week’s Official Singles Chart Update features a triple threat of challengers vying for the coveted top spot. While Ed Sheeran rebounds one place to the top with Shape of You, Clean Bandit are hot on his heels with Symphony, featuring Zara Larsson at Number 2 midweek. Ed's back again with Galway Girl at Number 3, while reigning champ Harry Styles slips to Number 4 with Sign Of The Times, just 5,000 copies separate all four tracks at this stage of the week.

Elsewhere in the Top 10, it looks like Kendrick Lamar could net his first top flight placing as a lead artist - Humble has risen 22 places to Number 9 following the release of his latest album DAMN. Another five of Kendrick's tracks are expected to hit the Top 40 on Friday; DNA (22), Loyalty ft. Rihanna (27), Element (33), Love (39) and Yah (40).

Lady Gaga is also destined to score her 19th UK Top 40 hit this week with The Cure, her brand new single debuted during her headline slot at Coachella last weekend. The synth-pop track sits at 25 today.

Over on the Official Albums Chart, today's Update reveals that the unstoppable force Ed Sheeran could notch up a seventh week at the peak with ÷.

Kendrick Lamar's DAMN. is Ed's closest challenger, the highest new entry so far this week at Number 2, and set to become Kendrick's highest charting album since 2015's To Pimp A Butterfly which peaked at Number 1.

Three more albums are expected to debut inside the Top 40 this week; Tinie Tempah's third studio album Youth starts the week at Number 8, John Mayer's The Search For Everything is at 11, and finally, The King Blues' The Gospel Truth is eyeing up the Number 30 slot.
