Billy Joel’s record-breaking run of shows at New York’s Madison Square Garden will take just a short time off while the singer undergoes endoscopic sinus surgery.

His next concert at the venue, scheduled for September 30, has been moved to November 21. Tickets for the show will be honored at the November date. At this point, his October 28 show remains on the schedule.

Joel’s spokesman said in a statement:

Due to endoscopic sinus surgery, Billy Joel will reschedule his upcoming September 30th concert at Madison Square Garden to November 21, 2016. The procedure will require him to rest his voice and avoid any strenuous activity. With several weeks of rest, Billy is expected to make a full recovery.

Billy already was one of the artists who had played the most shows at Madison Square Garden before he signed with the venue to do a show once per month for as long as there was demand. That run started in January 2014 and every one of his shows have sold out, including his upcoming shows from September through December.

Joel’s first concert at the venue was in 1978 and he broke the record for shows by a single artist with his January 2014 appearance, his 59th show.
