Trafalgar Releasing and Mercury Studios have released the official trailer for OZZY & BLACK SABBATH: BACK TO THE BEGINNING, as tickets go on general sale for the concert film documenting the final performance of Ozzy Osbourne and the original Black Sabbath lineup.
The film will open in cinemas worldwide on 28 October 2026 for a limited engagement. Presented in Dolby Atmos and 5.1 surround sound, the two-hour-and-thirty-minute feature captures the sold-out concert held on 5 July 2025 at Villa Park in Birmingham, marking Osbourne’s farewell show in his hometown alongside founding members Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward.
Directed for the screen by Ben Wainwright-Pearce with live concert direction by Tim van Someren, the cinematic release combines performance footage with behind-the-scenes material and reflections from participating musicians. The event brought together major names in heavy metal and rock, featuring sets and collaborative performances from Metallica, Guns N' Roses, Slayer, Pantera, Alice in Chains, Gojira, Anthrax, Tool, Lamb of God, Halestorm, Mastodon, and Rival Sons.
The film also documents special all-star guest appearances coordinated by Musical Director Tom Morello, featuring contributions from Billy Corgan, Steven Tyler, Ronnie Wood, Yungblud, Sammy Hagar, Travis Barker, Chad Smith, and Papa V Perpetua. Show host Jason Momoa provides additional commentary throughout the feature.
James Hetfield of Metallica noted in the film that the gathering served as a celebration of Black Sabbath’s enduring musical purpose, while Billy Corgan described the historic reunion as an unforgettable moment in rock history.
The production is produced by Jim Parsons, Jamie Silk, and Dan Seliger for Mercury Studios, with global distribution handled by Trafalgar Releasing.
