Megadeth have announced the European leg of their multi-year global farewell tour, dubbed Breakout: Hibernation Of The Nations. Following the massive global success of their seventeenth and final studio album—which earned the band their first-ever number one on the Billboard 200—the GRAMMY-winning thrash metal pioneers are taking their final chapter across the UK and mainland Europe. The 24-date arena run kicks off in Belfast on March 9, 2027, and wraps up in Lisbon on April 13, 2027.
Megadeth will be joined on the road by fellow metal heavyweights Black Label Society and Testament. Frontman Dave Mustaine described the tour as a celebration of the band's four-decade history rather than a simple goodbye, emphasizing his desire to honor the memories made with fans worldwide. Mustaine added that having Black Label Society and Testament on board creates a lineup that represents decades of heavy music, promising fans an unforgettable night.
Megadeth fans in the UK can look forward to an extensive run of arena shows throughout March 2027. Following the opening night at The O2 Belfast on March 9, the tour visits London’s OVO Arena Wembley on March 11, Nottingham’s Motorpoint Arena on March 12, Manchester’s Co-op Live on March 13, and Cardiff’s Utilita Arena on March 15. The UK dates conclude with stops at Glasgow’s OVO Hydro on March 16, Birmingham’s bp pulse LIVE on March 18, and Leeds’ First Direct Bank Arena on March 19.
Megadeth then head into mainland Europe, taking in major cities including Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Oslo, Berlin, Kraków, Milan, Barcelona, and Madrid. The career-spanning production promises iconic anthems alongside track selections from their chart-topping final album. Tickets go on general sale this Friday, August 7, 2026, at 10:00 AM local time, with Cyber Army and artist presales taking place earlier in the week.
