Frank Turner is set to headline a very special night of live music and entertainment as disability awareness charity ABLE2UK announces the return of its flagship fundraising event, Stop The Shadows. Scheduled for Saturday 5 September 2026 at the legendary Clapham Grand in London, the exclusive event will also celebrate the charity’s landmark 25th anniversary.

As a long-standing trustee of ABLE2UK and one of the UK’s most celebrated independent artists, the acclaimed punk-folk singer-songwriter will perform a special headline set. Known for his tireless advocacy of grassroots spaces, Turner previously secured a Guinness World Record by playing 15 acoustic gigs in 24 hours. He expressed his excitement at returning to the stage for the cause, noting that he is deeply honored to celebrate the milestone anniversary at such an iconic venue.

The annual Stop The Shadows campaign shines a crucial spotlight on the hidden epidemic of loneliness within the disabled community, where statistics show that 61% of disabled adults experience chronic isolation compared to just 6% of the general population. Every ticket sold for the evening will directly fund crucial accessibility improvements at independent music venues and live events, helping to break down the physical barriers that prevent disabled fans from experiencing live performance.

Howard Thorpe, the founder of ABLE2UK, emphasized that while the wider music industry has made strides in accessibility, many struggling independent venues need direct financial support to adapt their spaces. Now operating as a fully registered charity, ABLE2UK aims to ensure that no music fan is left out of a gig due to inaccessible facilities.
With more supporting artists and special surprises to be announced in the coming weeks, the event promises to be an unforgettable night of music and advocacy. Fans can sign up now for pre-sale tickets, which will go live on Wednesday 22 July at 10am, followed by the general ticket sale on Friday 24 July at 10am.
