Pioneering British rapper, producer, and songwriter Dizzee Rascal has announced a highly anticipated UK headline tour spanning October and November 2026. The East London star will bring his explosive live show to major venues across the country this autumn, including high-profile stops at the Leeds O2 Academy and Manchester Academy.
The upcoming tour serves as a celebration of a career that transformed the landscape of British music. Cutting his teeth on pirate radio in the early 2000s, Dizzee Rascal helped define the very grammar of grime by layering street-level reportage over jolting, minimalist beats. His groundbreaking 2003 debut album, Boy in da Corner, is widely considered grime’s ground zero. The stark, inventive record won the prestigious Mercury Prize, making him the award's youngest-ever winner at just 19 years old.
The innovative artist successfully took his underground sound to the mainstream with subsequent albums Showtime and Maths + English. This progression teed up a legendary run of era-defining, chart-topping pop-rap singles that dominated the airwaves, including "Dance Wiv Me" with Calvin Harris, "Bonkers," "Holiday," and "Dirtee Disco." All four tracks achieved UK Number 1 status and anchored his platinum-selling 2009 album, Tongue n’ Cheek.
By the early 2010s, the E3 native had become a household name, culminating in a historic live performance at the London 2012 Olympic Games Opening Ceremony. Following major crossover projects, Dizzee pivoted back to his gritty roots with Raskit and E3 AF, re-centering his signature barbed delivery. His massive cultural impact was formally recognized in October 2020 when he was appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) for services to music.
Remaining highly prolific, the rap icon returned to the charts with his bullish 2024 album Don’t Take It Personal, followed by the surprise EP I Invented Grime. General admission tickets for the autumn headline tour officially go on sale at 10am on Friday, June 26, 2026.
