Multi-Grammy-winning musical virtuoso Jacob Collier is returning to his roots for a historic homecoming. To celebrate the tenth anniversary of his groundbreaking debut album, In My Room, Collier will perform three intimate, solo shows at London’s legendary Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club on July 1, 2026—marking exactly ten years to the day since the album's original release.
The anniversary performances represent a profound full-circle milestone. On July 1, 2015, a then-twenty-year-old Collier stepped onto the Ronnie Scott's stage for his first-ever headline show, famously introduced by legendary producer Quincy Jones, who flew in from Los Angeles after discovering the young prodigy on YouTube. Exactly one year later, Collier dropped In My Room, launching an extraordinary recording career.
To mark the announcement, Collier has unveiled the lead single and video from the forthcoming In My Room (10th Anniversary Edition), titled "Smoke Gets In Your Eyes (with 13-Year-Old Jacob)." The innovative track features an archival vocal performance recorded by a thirteen-year-old Collier, layered with intricate, newly recorded multi-tracked harmonies by his present-day self. The full anniversary edition, releasing July 1 via Fontana/Hajanga, will feature a mix of fresh material, rare archival recordings, and unreleased cuts from the era.
Originally recorded, arranged, performed, and produced entirely by Collier in the music room of his North London family home, In My Room went on to win two Grammy Awards, with critics hailing him as a modern musical messiah. In the decade since, Collier's career has skyrocketed; he has amassed seven Grammy Awards, collaborated with over one hundred artists across a multitude of genres, sold out global arenas, and pioneered his famous "audience choir" phenomenon.
The special anniversary event at Ronnie Scott's will feature three distinct sets on July 1: a first house at 6:30 PM, a second house at 9:30 PM, and a Late Late Show at 12:45 AM. Tickets officially go on general sale this Friday, June 19, at 10:00 AM.
