Celebrated choral director and broadcaster Gareth Malone OBE has announced his highly anticipated return to the live stage with a brand-new UK tour, Sing-A-Long-A-Gareth: At The Movies. Scheduled to run throughout October and November 2026, the interactive concert series will celebrate the most unforgettable songs in cinematic history, encouraging audiences to experience the collective joy of singing together. Tickets for the extensive national tour will go on official public sale on Wednesday, June 17, at 10am.
Following the massive success of his previous theatrical outing, Malone's latest production turns its focus entirely to the silver screen. Backed by a stellar live band, professional vocalists, and a rotating lineup of local community choirs, the television personality will guide ticket holders through an energetic journey of era-defining movie soundtracks.
The curated setlist features a diverse array of Hollywood musical numbers, spanning foundational classics like Singin’ in the Rain, Breakfast at Tiffany's staple "Moon River," and Saturday Night Fever's disco anthem "Stayin’ Alive." The evening will also highlight modern cinematic masterpieces, including La La Land's "City of Stars" and an extensive James Bond medley featuring "Nobody Does It Better" and "Live and Let Die." Family-friendly contemporary hits will also take center stage, featuring popular music from Frozen, Moana, and the animated feature Sing.
"I’m thrilled to be whisking you away to the movies for a night celebrating the power of song," Malone stated, expressing his excitement for the upcoming autumn dates. "We’ll raise the roof together one more time in a night of Oscars-inspired fun and laughter. Don’t miss out on this chance to sing your heart out."
Malone has spent decades galvanizing the British choral landscape through award-winning BBC television series like The Choir and The Choir: Military Wives, ultimately achieving three UK Number 1 records. The upcoming autumn tour kicks off on October 15, 2026, at Edinburgh’s Queen’s Hall, visiting major regional theatres in Manchester, Nottingham, York, Brighton, and Birmingham, before concluding at London’s iconic Cadogan Hall on November 29.
