Canadian indie-folk powerhouse Cat Clyde is set to bring her nomadic, "uninhibited" sound to the United Kingdom this spring. Following the announcement of her fourth studio album, Mud Blood Bone—due March 13 via Concord Records—Clyde has unveiled a string of intimate UK headline dates that highlight her growing international presence.

A New Sonic Chapter

Produced by Drew Vandenberg (Faye Webster, Toro Y Moi), Mud Blood Bone marks a significant evolution for the artist. The record blends the rockabilly grit of Sierra Ferrell with the raw, emotional vulnerability of Big Thief. Central to the album's release is the new single, "Man’s World," a track Clyde describes as an expression of the frustration of existing within a patriarchal society.

"I love and crave masculine energy when it’s strong and emotionally aware," Clyde notes, "but 'Man’s World' touches on how dangerous it can be for a woman’s heart when that energy is cowardly or encroaching."

The UK Spring Run

Clyde's music has always been informed by her travels, with songs often penned in a 1973 Boler trailer or on a narrowboat in the English countryside. This spring, she returns to the UK to perform these "jetlagged dreams" live, buy tickets below.

Supported by her recent collaborator Boy Golden, the UK leg of her tour includes:

30 April: London
01 May: Manchester
02 May: Glasgow

Roots and Resilience

Clyde’s sound is rooted in her Métis heritage and a childhood spent listening to her grandfather’s fiddle through floor vents in North Ontario. By the time she picked up the guitar at thirteen, she was obsessed with the blues of Lead Belly and Robert Johnson. That lifelong dedication is evident in her latest work, which she describes as a "cleansing" journey through personal truth.

For Clyde, the constant movement of touring is a catalyst for creativity. "You can’t hide behind comforts," she says. "You have to know exactly who you are."
